Welcome to Dove Mountain Church

We're a new community of believers seeking to know, love and glorify God.

We began meeting on September 9, 2007 in the gymnasium at Pusch Ridge Christian Academy. It is our temporary home until a sanctuary can be built on our 15-acre property on Tangerine Road and North Camino de Oeste just west of Thornydale Road. [map]

Although Dove Mountain is a new congregation, we are firmly rooted in the Protestant tradition. We are a daughter church of Catalina Foothills Church at Skyline and Orange Grove, which was founded in 1994. We already have a sister congregation at Rincon Mountain Presbyterian Church on the east side of Tucson.

Education of children and adults, from the pulpit and in classes, is a vital ministry at Dove Mountain. When Pastor Allen Cooney preaches you may hear citations from C. S. Lewis, Jonathan Edwards, and other great Christians of the past.  He challenges us to grow as we work together to apply what the Bible says and live out our Lord's commands in all aspects of our daily lives.

Our Vision ...

For the whole church, individually and corporately, to live out our lives seeking the presence of the Father, growing in the likeness of the Son, and keeping in step with the Spirit by learning and teaching together, by worshiping and praying together, by loving and sharing together, by evangelizing and embarking on missions together, and by showing mercy and seeking justice together, doing all things to the glory of God.
